Basierend auf der Drum Circle-Methode zeigt Mary Knysh in diesem Workshop faszinierende Möglichkeiten auf, um mit Gruppen in musikalischen Dialog zu treten. Dabei beschränken sich ihre Interventionen nicht auf Percussioninstrumente, sondern beziehen Melodien, Harmonien und Bewegung mit ein.

ALEXANDER MERZ
geb. in Wiesbaden, hatte seinen ersten Posaunen-unterricht bei Joachim Tobschall, der ihn dann 10 Jahre begleitete. Er studierte Hauptfach Posaune bei Heinz Fadle in Detmold und Eckhard Treichel in Düsseldorf. Seit 1995 ist er Solo-Posaunist der Bochumer Symphoniker. Von 2001-2004 machte er in der Schweiz im Kientalerhof eine Weiterbildung in freier Improvisation bei dem amerikanischen Cellisten und Grammy Preisträger David Darling und leitet seit dem verschiedenste Projekte zu diesem Thema, unter anderem für Schulklassen, Chöre oder Firmen.

ALEXANDER MERZ
Alexander studied trombone in Detmold and Düsseldorf and is solo trombone player at the Bochumer Symphoniker orchestra since 1995. From 2001 – 2004 he did a improvisation training with the american grammy awarded cello player David Darling and he is doing several improvisation projects with schools, choirs, companies and others since this time.
